Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) works closely with various sections of the society, but it never has an contradiction between different branches as all these nations work on the principle of first.
Speaking during the centenary celebrations of the RSS in the national capital, Prime Minister Modi said, “Just as human civilizations flourish on the banks of huge rivers have flourished hundreds of lives in the flow of RSS and on the shores. Since its establishment, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has followed a great objective. That purpose has been building nation.”
Prime Minister Modi said that the establishment of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the day of Vijayadashami 100 years ago was no coincidence. He threw light on the evil of this festival, the symbol of the victory of light over the truth, truth over untruth and the victory of light over darkness. “… Tomorrow is Vijayadashami, a festival that symbolizes the victory of good over evil, the victory of justice over injustice, the victory of truth and the victory of light over darkness … 100 years ago, the establishment of RSS as an organization on this great day was no coincidence.”
Prime Minister ModiHe paid tribute to RSS founder KB Hedgewar and appreciated his dedication to the national service. “It is a privilege of our generation volunteers that we have got an opportunity to witness a great opportunity like the centenary year of the Sangh. Today, on this occasion, I give my best wishes and congratulations to the millions of volunteers dedicated to the national service. I pay homage at the feet of the Sangh, our revered ideals, the supremely revered Dr. Hedgewar ji.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi issued a specially designed memorial postage stamp and coin, highlighting the RSS’s contribution to the nation on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the organization. “… is the national symbol on one side of this 100 rupee coin, and on the other side there is the image of Mother India, which is seated in Varad Mudra on Leo, and volunteers are bowed down to them with dedication. This is the first time in the history of independent India that the image of Mother India has been shown on our currency … The special postage stamps released today also have their own importance … In 1963, RSS’s volunteers also participated in RSS Parade. There is an image of that historic moment on the postage stamp. “
He said that various sub-organizations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) work for various aspects of life without struggling with each other, emphasizing that the shared objective and essence of all RSS units is “the first”.
Prime Minister Modi said,“Different organizations of RSS serve the nation by working for every aspect of life … RSS also has many sub-organizations, but no two sub-organizations within the organization oppose each other or division.
In 1925, established by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur, Maharashtra, the RSS was established as a volunteer-based organization that aims to promote cultural awareness, discipline, service and social responsibility among the citizens.
