Mumbai, January 30 (IANS). BJP leader Tuhin Sinha on Friday launched a strong attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. He said that Rahul Gandhi is trying to defame India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, especially by creating doubts about the manufacturing sector.
Speaking to IANS, BJP leader Tuhin Sinha alleged that Rahul Gandhi has been continuously questioning India’s manufacturing capabilities for some time and weakening them.
Tuhin Sinha said that Rahul Gandhi is continuously creating doubts and trying to defame India’s Make in India initiative in the manufacturing sector. Wherever he goes. Claims that the manufacturing Make in India program in India has completely failed.
Referring to a video released by Rahul Gandhi about six months ago, Tuhin Sinha said the Congress leader had criticized Indian drone manufacturers and compared them with Chinese companies, which was not good for them.
He said that in that video Rahul Gandhi had said that Indian drones are nothing compared to Chinese drones. Sinha said that instead of visiting big companies, Rahul Gandhi chose to visit a small drone manufacturing unit near Delhi. He claimed that I deliberately did not go to the big market players. I visited a small drone manufacturing company to understand the process.
Questioning Rahul Gandhi’s intentions, Tuhin Sinha asked why the Congress leader was allegedly defaming Indian drone manufacturers, defense sector and MSMEs.
He said whether he wants to promote foreign players? Does he want India to remain dependent on other countries? The leader of the opposition needs to introspect. Instead of making such comments he should inspire small businesses and manufacturers who are playing an important role in building a self-reliant India.
According to the BJP leader, various types of high quality drones are being manufactured in India under the Make in India initiative. Highlighting the growth potential of the sector, the BJP leader said the Indian drone industry is currently valued at around Rs 1 billion and is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
