New Delhi, 3 October (IANS). Congress MP Tariq Anwar supported Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi’s statement on democracy in Colombia. He said that Rahul Gandhi has revealed the truth of democracy.
Referring to some old statements of PM Modi, the Congress MP said that before 2014, he used to go abroad that it was a compulsion to take birth in India and if the country has not developed in 70 years, then what do you expect from others?
He alleged that in the last 11 years, PM Modi did not hold a single press conference and the freedom to question democracy is being attacked. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi is constantly raising the issues related to the country, he is telling the truth, no one should object to it.
On Russian President Vladimir Putin describing PM Modi as an ‘intelligent leader’, the Congress MP said that there are old relations between Russia and India. The head of one country praises the other, it is common. Russia has strong relationship with crude oil deal and foreign policy. Russia has always stood with India during the crisis.
On the statement of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, the Congress MP said that this could be his personal opinion, but the opposition is united in the matter. There was no development or progress in the country in the last 11-12 years. The conflict in the society has increased and people have been intimidated. We want change of power.
Surrounding the Yogi government over the Bareilly controversy, the Congress MP said that the matter could be resolved by negotiation, but the attitude of the UP government is wrong. The Chief Minister considers himself above the law. There are police, laws, constitutions and courts in case of mistake, but they are being run by ignoring them, which is increasing the problems.
The Congress MP agreed on AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement ‘When I Love Modi may be there, I Love Mohammad Bhi Khi Humi’. He said that Owaisi is right to say. The constitution gives us freedom to express our faith. Our country is of all religion. We can express love towards any religion or faith.
