New Delhi, November 5 (IANS). After Rahul Gandhi’s press conference, the political turmoil in the country has intensified. Congress leaders are continuously reacting after Rahul Gandhi repeated allegations of alleged rigging and ‘vote theft’ in Haryana elections.
In this sequence, Uttarakhand Congress President Ganesh Godiyal said that the facts put forward by Rahul Gandhi are absolutely clear and transparent. A big question has arisen on the credibility of BJP and Election Commission.
He told IANS that all the governments whose foundation was allegedly laid on vote theft should resign immediately.
Rahul Gandhi held a detailed press conference on Wednesday and alleged large-scale rigging in the Haryana Assembly elections. He said that Congress was going to form the government with an overwhelming majority and this fact was not only coming out in many exit polls, but the initial report of postal ballot was also in favor of Congress.
According to Rahul Gandhi, various survey agencies had shown Congress getting around 73 seats and BJP getting 17 seats. He said that in the election history of Haryana, the results of postal ballot have never been different from the final result, but this time exactly the opposite happened.
Rahul Gandhi claimed that a conspiracy was already hatched to convert Congress’s victory into defeat under ‘Operation Sarkar Chori’. He said the Congress ultimately trailed in Haryana by a slim margin of only 22,779 votes (the aggregate of the 8 seats with the lowest margin).
He said that BJP got 55,48,800 votes, while Congress got 54,30,602 votes. As a result, BJP got 48 seats and Congress got 37 seats.
Rahul alleged that 5,21,619 duplicate voters, 93,174 wrong addresses and 19,26,351 bulk voters were included in the voter list of Haryana. Also talked about misuse of Form-6 and Form-7.
Rahul Gandhi said that out of approximately 2 crore voters of Haryana, about 25 lakh votes were stolen. According to Rahul, this means that 1 in every 8 votes was a victim of fake or manipulation.
