Patna, June 9 (IANS). The political controversy is deepening over the reduction in security of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. In protest against this decision, on Saturday, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav took a big step and returned all the security personnel deployed at their official residence. After this incident, RJD workers have gathered in large numbers outside Rabri Devi’s residence.
The workers say that until the government does not restore the security arrangements of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi as before, they themselves will remain firm in the security of their leaders.
The workers claim that they are continuously present outside the residence since last day and are ready to provide 24-hour security. While talking to news agency IANS, RJD supporters said that their protest will continue if the government does not restore the security of their leaders as before. He said that ensuring the safety of his leaders is his priority.
RJD worker Narendra Kumar said that until this government does not provide security to our leader like before, we will remain present here as his security cover. We have been here since yesterday and are ready to provide 24-hour security. At the same time, Dhananjay Kumar Chandravanshi said that we will remain here until a decision is taken on giving back security to our leader. The security system that was in place earlier should be restored.
Rajesh Kumar Yadav raised questions on the government’s decision and said that it is not right to remove the security of our leader. This is the first time that a former Chief Minister is being treated like this. No RJD worker will tolerate this. We will wait for 48 hours, but if security is not restored then workers from different parts of the state will reach and protect our leaders. Another supporter Nitish Kumar said that till the security is restored, we will continue to sit here and protect our leaders. Security must be restored.
On the other hand, a round of allegations and counter-allegations is going on between the ruling party and the opposition regarding the decision to cut security. RJD is linking this issue to political vendetta.
