Patna, July 2 (IANS). Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief spokesperson Shakti Yadav commented on the party’s strategy regarding the Bankipur assembly by-election and the efforts being made by Prashant Kishore. He claimed that RJD will contest the Bankipur seat strongly and the public will give a befitting reply to the BJP. He raised questions on the role of BJP leadership and state government in the case of Bharat Tiwari’s death.
Regarding Bankipur Assembly by-election, Shakti Yadav said that RJD will contest on this seat with full strength. By-elections are to be held in Bakipur Assembly. The notification has been released today. Rashtriya Janata Dal will win the elections strongly. BJP is not going to be seen anywhere this time. This time people are looking for opportunities.
On the question asked about Prashant Kishor’s electoral activism and his party’s claim in the by-elections, Shakti Yadav said that in a democracy, every political party has the right to contest elections. He said, “Many parties have been formed in recent times. They too must have wanted us to fight and we must fight.”
Questioning Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s visit to meet Bharat Tiwari’s family and the role of BJP leadership in this entire matter, the RJD spokesperson said that first of all it should be answered why Bharat Tiwari died and who gave so much freedom to the administration. He said that even if there is a person with criminal tendencies, the police does not have the right to encounter. Shakti Yadav alleged that no effective action was taken against the responsible officials after the incident. He said that today Bharat Tiwari’s family is crying and wailing. The police and officers involved in the encounter found the sweet spot and gave you a clear message that there is no point in taking any action. Encounter: Whatever we did, we did it. No one is going to believe it.
Also commenting on the proposed visit of Chirag Paswan, he said that Chirag Paswan is going today, what if he will hold a Mahapanchayat there. He signed the contract and left. The top leadership of BJP did not show sensitivity in this entire matter. Neither the Home Minister arrived, nor the Chief Minister arrived, nor the BJP President went, where did anyone go? RJD even sent a committee under the leadership of the National Vice President. We said from the very beginning, “The Leader of Opposition said from the very beginning, this is an encounter, this is live proof. Now the proof of this is being searched? He asked while questioning that haven’t you seen in the video how he was murdered? Are you going to find this proof? Whom are you fooling?
