Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said there are some misconceptions about the organization among a section of people due to “misleading campaigns”.
Speaking at an event organized at the Science City Auditorium in Kolkata to mark the centenary celebrations of the RSS, Bhagwat said the Sangh has no enemies but there are some people “whose shops of narrow interests” will be closed if the organization grows.
He said that a person has the right to form an opinion about the RSS, but that opinion should be based on reality and not on “narratives and information obtained from secondary sources”.
“Lectures and dialogue sessions have been organized in four cities of the country to bring the reality before the people,” Bhagwat said.
He stressed that RSS has no political agenda and said that the Sangh works for the betterment and security of Hindu society.
He asserted that the country would again become a ‘Vishwaguru’, and “it is the duty of the Sangh to prepare the society for this purpose”.
The RSS is organizing such sessions in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru as part of the centenary celebrations.
