New Delhi, 22 September (IANS). Union Home Minister Amit Shah has appreciated the security forces for gaining another major victory against the Naxalites.
Amit Shah wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Today our security forces have achieved another great success against the Naxalites. Our security forces in Abujhmad area of Narayanpur on the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border, two central committee members Naxal leaders Qadri Satyanarayan Reddy alias Kosa and Katta Ramchandra Reddy were eliminated. Top leaderships are systematically demolished and red is breaking the backbone of terror. “
Two senior Naxalite leaders were killed in an encounter with security forces on Monday in Abujhmad area near Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border. The bodies have been identified as Raju Dada alias Katta Ramchandra Reddy and Kosa Dada alias Kadari Satyanarayana Reddy. Both had a reward of 40-40 lakh rupees.
During the campaign in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, security forces recovered an AK-47 rifle, an INSAS rifle, a BGL launcher, a large quantity of explosives, Naxal materials and other items from the spot.
Both these Maoists were the main conspirators of Naxalite violence for many years. Many soldiers were martyred due to their planning and the lives of innocent citizens were killed.
Inspector General of Police of Bastar Range Sundararaj P called this action a major and decisive shock against the Maoists.
The Inspector General of Police appealed, “Naxalite activities are now towards their end. It is time to leave the path of violence and return to the mainstream. They can start life with security and respect under the state government’s surrender and rehabilitation policy.”
In another campaign last Monday, CRPF’s Cobra Battalion and Jharkhand Police killed three big Naxalites in Hazaribagh district. On the basis of intelligence information, this campaign started at around six in the morning in Karandi village near Giridih-Bokaro border.
