A day after Shiv Sena (Ubatha) chief Uddhav Thackeray’s meeting with his cousin Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, MP Sanjay Raut said on Monday that his discussion was political and the alliance between the two parties will be formed with “heart and mind” before the municipal elections.
He clarified that it is not an easy process to decide where to be included because political equations are different in every part of Maharashtra. Special attention needs to be paid to prominent metropolitans like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nashik and Thane. In some areas only the strength of the Nationalist Congress Party will be decisive, so all aspects have to be kept in mind.
Sanjay Raut also took a clear stand on the post of Mayor. He said that the Mayor of Mumbai will be Marathi and should be the real saffron color and Marathi Baana. He insisted that only Shiv Sena and MNS leaders have this pride. Mayor will be elected from the Thackeray brothers. Raut said that Maha Vikas Aghadi was not only formed for the assembly elections, but a separate equation will be created for the local body elections and who will be where it will be done.
On the question of Raj Thackeray joining Maha Vikas Aghadi, he said that MVA does not belong to any one party but an alliance of three major parties. He clarified that his relations with Raj Thackeray are good and discussions are going on between Shiv Sena and MNS. At the same time, the Raj -Uddhav meeting will not have any effect on the opposition because according to Raut, Shinde’s party and Ajit Pawar’s party are actually BJP.
