Lucknow, 5 February (IANS). Uttar Pradesh government minister Anil Rajbhar took a tough stand on many issues including the ban on Chinese manjha, Samajwadi Party voter list and questions on the Election Commission.

Minister Anil Rajbhar showed a very strict stance regarding the ban on Chinese Manja in Uttar Pradesh. He told IANS that not only the investigation, but even after the ban, if someone dies due to Manja sold from a shop, the person concerned will be tried for murder and will be sent to jail.

He said that till now many people have lost their lives due to Chinese Manjha and many people have been injured. It was very important to stop this. This decision of the government is strict, decisive and in public interest. Its effect will be seen not only in Uttar Pradesh but in the entire country.

Minister Anil Rajbhar said that people of the Sikh community are protesting across the country and demanding an apology. He said that no one has the right to insult any person or community in any public and important place. While giving advice to the leaders, he said that they should look at their actions, policies and conduct. Everyone should look inward and see whose support the people of the country have left, how many leaders have changed parties.

On the decision to abolish Madarsa Board in Uttarakhand, the minister said that the intention of the government is clear. The government wants that the children who graduate from madrassas should also become doctors, engineers and officers and contribute to the development of the country. This decision has been taken with the thought that minority boards should also get meaningful work. He called it a good and welcome step.

Targeting Samajwadi Party, Anil Rajbhar said that SP is continuously making wrong statements. He alleged that the opposition has made its strategy to attack the Election Commission and put it in the dock. The rights which the Election Commission has given to the Bharatiya Janata Party, have also been given to the Samajwadi Party, other political parties and the general public.

Clarifying the situation regarding SIR, Rajbhar said that the name of anyone who completes 18 years of age should appear in the voter list. There is a statutory process like Form-7 for this. After the voter list is published, if anyone feels that a name has been wrongly included, he can lodge an objection. Those who are worried about the investigation of fake voters, fear that if the fake names are removed, their political interests will be affected, that is why they are in frustration and stress.
