Suspense on CM chair in Karnataka! Mallikarjun Kharge's name in discussion, G. Parameshwara gave shocking statement

For quite some time now, there has been a controversy going on within the ruling Congress government of Karnataka regarding the post of Chief Minister. Within the Congress party, there is a lot of speculation and apprehension regarding the leadership of the state. Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parmeshwar has given an important statement regarding the leadership of the state and the post of Chief Minister. He said that if Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge becomes the Chief Minister of Karnataka, all Congress party leaders will welcome the decision. Describing Kharge as a very experienced and senior leader of the party, he said that his leadership will prove beneficial for the party.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara emphasized that amidst the ongoing political discussions within the party and the constant speculation over the Chief Minister’s post, the most important priority is to fulfill the promise of good governance made to the people of the state.

Speculation intensifies regarding change of leadership in Karnataka

Home Minister Mr. This statement of Parameshwara has come at a time when speculations are increasing in political circles about possible leadership change and cabinet reshuffle in the state after May 4. It is noteworthy that May 4 is the day when the results of the assembly elections held in four states and one union territory—as well as the results of by-elections held on two assembly seats in Karnataka—are to be declared.

Does Kharge himself want to become the CM of Karnataka?

According to PTI, when Parameshwara was asked if Kharge himself aspired to become the chief minister, he replied, “If he becomes the chief minister, we will be very happy; we will all welcome it.” He gave the reasoning behind this that Kharge is a senior political figure, who has extensive experience in politics. However, he also clarified that he does not have any concrete information about the news going on in the media regarding the change in the Chief Minister.

He said that the final decision on this matter will be taken by the Congress high command only because it has full knowledge of the entire situation in the state. Nevertheless, the party considers itself extremely fortunate to have an experienced leader like Kharge—who is a native of Karnataka and has a deep understanding of the state’s politics—as its national president.
