Pune, December 18 (IANS). Political analyst Tehseen Poonawala has appealed to the Muslim community of Maharashtra not to trust Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray at any cost. At present, both of them are considering coming together for the purpose of earning political gains, but if the attitude of both the brothers towards the Muslim community is studied, then it becomes clear that they are not trustworthy.
Speaking to news agency IANS on Thursday, he said that Raj Thackeray always considered the Muslim community of second class and tortured them. In 2014, during the month of Ramzan, Raj Thackeray had forcibly stuffed food in the mouth of a Muslim youth and the limit was reached when Shiv Sena (UBT) tried to justify the matter.
He said that just as in mathematics, if you multiply zero with any number, the result always remains zero, today the situation of Raj Thackeray has also become similar. If Raj Thackeray goes with any party in the state, it is not going to do him any good. He is not going to get any kind of political benefit.
He said that history itself confirms how Shiv Sena has always oppressed the Muslim community. This is the same Shiv Sena which had said that we had demolished Babri Masjid within just 10 minutes. Not only this, these are the same people who had even demanded that the right to vote should be taken away from the Muslim community.
We cannot forget how Raj Thackeray had said during the Corona period that Muslims should be shot. They should not even get treatment facilities and today the situation has become such that these people want to earn political benefits by taking the help of Muslim community in BMC elections.
Tehseen Poonawala appealed to the Muslim community of Maharashtra not to trust Raj Thackeray at any cost. If you people have to vote, then vote for India Alliance, but do not vote for Shiv Sena (UBT) or Raj Thackeray. These people are not worthy of taking votes from the Muslim community. I say one thing with certainty that if tomorrow Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives place to their children in the Union Cabinet, then these people will go there also. In such a situation, it would be better for the people of the Muslim community of Maharashtra not to trust these people at all. These people only want to use the Muslim community for their political gains, which cannot be accepted at any cost.
He said that these two brothers do not have any love for the Muslim community. Both of them are opportunist leaders, who have nothing to do with the interests of the Muslim community. They are only looking for this opportunity to find out how and from where they can get political benefits.
