Tejashwi Yadav becomes Leader of Opposition but the path will be full of challenges, know what problems he will have to face?

After the results of Bihar Assembly elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has elected its legislature party leader. RJD has handed over this responsibility to Tej Pratap Yadav. That means Tejashwi will once again play the role of leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly. However, initially he was hesitant in taking this responsibility. Sources claim that after the instructions of Lalu Prasad Yadav and persuasion of the MLAs, Tejashwi agreed to take up this responsibility.

When Tejashwi became the leader of the opposition after the 2020 elections, he had a good number of MLAs and the party had performed well in the elections. As a result, even as leader of the opposition, conditions were favorable to him both in the Assembly and within the party. However, in the elections held on November 14, the RJD was reduced to 25, winning 50 seats less than in 2020. This situation will present no less challenges for Tejashwi.

Let us look at the challenges facing Tejashwi this time as the leader of the opposition:

It will not be easy for Tejashwi to maintain the influence of the opposition in the assembly. The entire grand alliance has been reduced to 35 seats. At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party led National Democratic Alliance has won the assembly with more than 200 seats. Tejashwi will face the challenge of keeping the RJD MLAs united as well as keeping the opposition united in the House.

The RJD leader will not only have to keep the party united in the assembly, but will also have to keep his family united outside the party. With Tej Pratap’s eviction ahead of the elections and his sisters, including Rohini, deciding to leave the house after the results, the responsibility of keeping the family together will largely fall on him.

Tejashwi will either have to take action against those close to him against whom his family and party members are accusing him, or he will have to convince the people around him. Some way will have to be found so that his close ones do not move away from him and the distance between the party and the family does not increase. He will also have to control the interference of people close to him in the decisions of the party and family.

Will Nitish Kumar be the next Chief Minister of Bihar? Political turmoil due to Vijay Sinha’s statement

Before this election, RJD and its leaders were confident that they would maintain their strong hold on Muslim and Yadav votes. However, given the growing influence of AIMIM, it looks like this RJD stronghold has become weaker in this election. In such a situation, it is Tejashwi’s responsibility to save it.

The RJD leader had made a lot of promises to the youth and women in the 2025 elections, but in this election the public did not trust these promises. Therefore, now he has to make a clear strategy for the upcoming elections so that the public can trust him.
