Noida, November 16 (IANS). NDA (National Democratic Alliance) got a landslide victory in Bihar elections. At the same time, the performance of the country’s main opposition party and key member of the opposition India Bloc, Congress, was disappointing. On Saturday, BJP MP from Noida Mahesh Sharma targeted Congress.
BJP MP Mahesh Sharma while talking to IANS said, “The condition of Congress is bad not only in Bihar but in the entire country. How many states are there where Congress is fighting for its survival? What is their vote percentage? In how many states is they at zero? In such a situation, Congress’s defeat is not only in Bihar. This defeat will be seen in more states in the coming times.”
He said, “Now other parties and allies of the Congress have also started believing that there is no benefit in associating with the Congress, rather it creates more negative sentiments. You saw its signs everywhere.”
Earlier, Mahesh Sharma had attributed the victory of Bihar to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He wrote on the social media platform I salute the tireless work of the workers of all NDA parties.”
The results of Bihar assembly elections came out on Friday. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the largest party in the state with 243 assembly seats. According to Election Commission data, BJP won 89 seats. Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) stood at second position with 85 seats. At the same time, the state’s main opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) got 25 seats.
