Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sanjay Jaiswal said on Tuesday that this country is not at all for Bangladeshis and Rohingyas and they will be thrown out after a special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list.
While participating in the discussion on election reforms in the Lok Sabha, he said that 35 lakh people were found in Bihar SIR who did not fill Form 6.
Jaiswal said, “They may have gone out of Bihar, or they may also be Bangladeshi Rohingyas who did not fill it out of fear and this is what hurts our friends from Bihar. They fear that if there are so many in Bihar, how many will there be in Bengal. It is this ‘vote politics’ that they are worried about.
He said, “This country belongs to all – Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, but certainly not to Bangladeshis and Rohingyas. Therefore, we will expel Bangladeshis and Rohingyas even after SIR.
Taking aim at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, he said that for the last three months he has been talking about ‘vote theft’ and SIR which is only the constitutional right of the Election Commission.
The BJP MP said that even after the issue on which the opposition suffered such a huge defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, they are not ready to understand it. “They are never going to improve,” he said sarcastically. They will blame EVMs and SIR but will not look within themselves.
Taking a dig at the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Jaiswal said, “Now if he goes on tourism in Bihar, all the MLAs of the Congress party will fit into one Bolero vehicle.”
He also said that if simultaneous elections are held in the country, thousands of crores of rupees will be saved.
