Bengaluru, June 4 (IANS). Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President B.K. Hariprasad said on Thursday that those who want to do politics of position and power should contact Chief Minister D.K. Can go with Shivkumar. At the same time, those who want to strengthen the organization are welcome.

Karnataka Home Minister G in Bengaluru. He made this statement while talking to the media after meeting Parameshwara. His statement is expected to give rise to a political controversy.

Hariprasad said, “Those who want power and position can go with DK Shivakumar. Those who want to organize and strengthen the party can come with me. Let us work by dividing responsibilities and take the party forward. I assure the party workers that I will always stand with them.”

He said that party workers need not worry about the changes taking place in the organization. He assured that he would personally take responsibility for the interests and welfare of the workers.

He said, “Those who want to strengthen the party can join us. People who have worked at different levels in the government and organization should work unitedly.”

Referring to the national leadership, Hariprasad said that senior leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are continuously working to strengthen the party organization.

He said, “They are continuously making efforts to strengthen the party. If we want to further strengthen their efforts, we will also have to come out on the streets and fight for the people’s issues and take active participation in the movements.”

Hariprasad said that his statement should not be interpreted in any other way. He said his comments were only in the context of organizational responsibilities and strengthening the party.

He assured the workers that he will stand with them in every situation and protect their interests. The organizational work of the party will be further intensified.

According to sources, these statements have been made targeting those former ministers who are actively lobbying to become cabinet ministers in the Shivakumar government.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G. God B.K. Met Hariprasad at his residence in Sadashivnagar and congratulated him on being made the new President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).
