Kolkata, January 10 (IANS). Trinamool Congress on Saturday released its theme song for the upcoming assembly elections. In this song, CM Mamata Banerjee, who is the daughter of Bengal, is shown as a ‘lioness’.
The song is based on the new election slogan of the Trinamool Congress—”Aap kitna bhi hamla karen, Bengal will win again.” The lyrics of the song repeatedly give the message of protecting and carrying forward the tradition and culture of Bengal against the BJP.
In the 2021 assembly elections, the theme song ‘Khela Hobe’ (Game On) presented Mamata Banerjee as Bengal’s beloved daughter, with the slogan – ‘Bengal wants its daughter.’ This time, the same beloved daughter has become the protector of Bengali culture and heritage.
The new three-minute song focuses on Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee and the party’s All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee. The main video of the song has been made by combining short clips from various rallies, meetings, processions and other events of the party.
Using its official social media handle, the party released the video of the song and wrote, “Our campaign song is finally here, ready to electrify every corner of Bengal! Listen to it and feel the true strength of our soil; the soaring heartbeat of Bengal, the unwavering resolve of millions who refuse to remain silent, the thunderous roar of the people rising together against every conspiracy and attack. This song is the heartbeat of our resistance, the anthem of our pride.” Yes, it is the voice of mother, soil and man which declares that no matter how much you attack, Bengal will win again!”
For the past few days, Trinamool Congress supporters have been calling Mamata Banerjee a ‘lioness’ on social media. The lioness image of the Trinamool leader has now also been shown in the theme song made for the elections.
Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress has accused the BJP of being outsiders and trying to systematically erase the language and cultural identity of Bengal. Meanwhile, the ruling party is trying to send a message through this new song that Bengal is fully aware of the politics of hatred and religious polarization being carried out against it.
