The Congress on Friday took a sharp dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for praising President Donald Trump, while the United States President completed a “half century” by claiming that he used trade and tariffs as a “Brahmastra” to stop Operation Sindoor.

Jairam Ramesh, MP and the party’s general secretary in-charge of communication, stressed that President Trump has been persistent, persistent and determined and it will not take much time for him to score a century.

He said at

Taking aim at Prime Minister Modi for praising and praising Trump, the Congress leader also took a dig at him for not condemning the massacre in Gaza and not talking to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Congress leader said in the post, “Prime Minister Modi spent the entire day yesterday talking to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and sent messages praising President Trump. All the while, he did not forget to talk to the man who carried out the massacre in Gaza – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – and all during this time.”

Earlier on October 9, the Congress MP had said that Prime Minister Modi’s “unconditional” praise of the Israeli Prime Minister after the agreement on the first phase of the Gaza peace plan was “shocking, shameful and morally atrocious”.

His post read, “The Prime Minister has welcomed the new developments regarding Gaza and praised President Trump. His eagerness to do so is not surprising. But what is shocking, shameful and morally atrocious is that Mr Modi has unconditionally praised Israeli Prime Minister Mr Netanyahu – who has carried out genocide in Gaza over the last twenty months.”

Prime Minister Modi on Thursday welcomed the agreement on the first phase of President Donald Trump’s peace plan. The prime minister said the development reflected the strong leadership of his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu.

Prime Minister Modi wrote on Twitter, “We welcome the agreement on the first phase of President Trump’s peace plan. It is also a reflection of the strong leadership of Prime Minister Netanyahu. We are hopeful that the release of hostages and increased humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza will provide them relief and pave the way for lasting peace.”

He expressed hope that the release of hostages and increased humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza will provide much-needed relief and pave the way for lasting peace in the region.
