Amritsar, December 13 (IANS). Amritsar DIG Border Range Sandeep Goyal said that Zilla Parishad elections are to be held in Punjab on Sunday. Complete preparations have been made for this. A complete plan has been prepared by the security forces to deal with any untoward situation during voting. Our team will decide everything based on that framework.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, he said that our team is excited to conduct the elections successfully. There should be no problem anywhere. We are fully prepared regarding this and are ensuring that there is no problem anywhere. If there is any kind of problem, we will deal with it immediately.

DIG Sandeep Goyal said that very good preparations have been made for the Zilla Parishad elections in Punjab. There are a total of 10 dispatch centers regarding the elections from where our teams will leave. We have also given full training to our team for the elections. There are 750 polling stations and 1,148 polling booths in the district. Of these, 214 are sensitive.

He informed that 11 DSPs and 3 SPs have been deployed in the entire district. Our team will monitor the entire election process and ensure that no untoward situation arises anywhere. Our team is fully prepared to face every type of situation. Usually during elections, unpleasant situations arise due to some mischievous elements, hence our team is ensuring that such situations do not arise anywhere.

He said that we have made complete preparations regarding the elections. Wherever we have found sensitive places from security point of view, we have deployed additional security forces there so that no element is successful in carrying out its nefarious plans.

He said that I assure you that tomorrow’s elections will be held in a completely proper manner. No untoward situation will arise during the elections.
