'We converted jungle raj into good governance', PM Modi targets opposition grand alliance

Criticizing RJD’s ‘jungle-raj’ in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government converted “jungle raj” into “good governance” and now the time has come to convert “good governance” into “prosperity” across Bihar.

Addressing a public meeting in Begusarai, PM Modi said, “We converted jungle raj into good governance. Now the time has come to convert good governance into prosperity. I have come to seek your blessings for the prosperity of Bihar. It was the month of October 2005, when you freed Bihar from jungle raj and chose good governance. You should understand the power of your vote, and your vote will decide the prosperity of Bihar.”

Taking a dig at the opposition alliance, the Prime Minister said, “On one side there is the NDA, which is an alliance with mature leadership, and on the other side there is the ‘Mahagathbandhan’.”

Prime Minister Modi described Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) as arrogant and said that RJD family is the most corrupt family of Bihar and most of its members are out on bail after being released from the court.

The Prime Minister said, “RJD has not won any election in the last two decades, but it is immersed in its arrogance. Because of this arrogance, it has thrown JMM out of the alliance. Congress has been a follower of RJD in Bihar for thirty-five years. They even misled the VIPs.”

He said, “When selfishness prevails and loot is the goal, then RJD and Congress are doing exactly the same. They first sell tickets, then do scams. Just look at the RJD family, which is the most corrupt family in Bihar and most of whose members are out on bail, even after being released from the court, are forced to remain on bail. On the other hand, the Congress family is the most corrupt family in the country. Most of the members of this family are also out on bail. Bihar does not trust such people.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored by wearing a special garland made of Makhanas during a public meeting in Begusarai.

Earlier, while addressing a public rally in Samastipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the opposition Grand Alliance and accused them of giving priority to the political future of their family over the welfare of the youth of Bihar. He said that these parties are setting new records of lies in front of the youth of the state.

Intensifying his attacks on RJD, Prime Minister Modi said that law and order cannot be maintained in an RJD ruled state.

He also criticized the RJD’s “Jungle Raj” in Bihar and alleged that there was large-scale extortion, murder, ransom and kidnapping at that time, which “ruined generations” of the state.

During a rally in Samastipur, Prime Minister Modi said, “RJD and Congress are only concerned about the political future of their families. That is why today they are setting new records of lies in front of the youth of Bihar. Where a party like RJD is in power, there cannot be any trace of law and order. Extortion, murder, extortion and kidnapping were flourishing during RJD’s rule.”

He said, “RJD’s jungle raj has ruined generations of Bihar. My mothers, sisters, youth, Dalits and backward classes of Bihar, and extremely backward people of Bihar had to bear the biggest brunt of RJD’s misgovernance. During this jungle raj, the doors of police stations were closed for Dalits and extremely backward people.”
