Women will get their rights through Women’s Reservation Bill: NDA

New Delhi, April 3 (IANS). The country’s politics has once again heated up regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill. The central government seems to be active in implementing this bill soon. At the same time, statements of leaders of political parties are also coming out.

Delhi BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia told IANS that giving reservation to women is the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP also made efforts in the current session of Parliament to fulfill this promise, but due to non-cooperation of the opposition, the discussion has now been extended to 16, 17 and 18 April. He expressed confidence that women will definitely get their rights and the central government will fulfill its promise.

Whereas in Patna, JDU national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad said that this special session from 16 to 18 April will be completely dedicated to discussion on women’s reservation. The central government wants that there should be no delay in women getting the benefits of reservation. It was also told that by bringing this bill in the Parliament, a target has been set to increase the participation of women in the 2029 elections.

On this issue, Bihar State President of BJP Sanjay Saraogi targeted Congress. He said that Congress could not pass the Women’s Reservation Bill for 30 years, whereas the present government passed it in just two days. He reiterated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fully committed to increasing the political participation of women.

Sanjay Saraogi said that now the time has come that women should have a strong presence in every Assembly and Lok Sabha and they should play an important role in the law making process.
