Bharat Bhushan Tiwari Encounter: The case of death of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari in Biloti village located in Shahpur police station area of Bhojpur district of Bihar is continuously in the headlines. The police are calling it an encounter, while family members and villagers are calling it a fake encounter and demanding an impartial investigation. Meanwhile, the police have intensified investigation and action by registering FIRs in three separate cases related to the entire incident. The case gained momentum when deceased Bharat Tiwari’s father Kashinath Tiwari and brother Chandan Tiwari were also made accused in the FIR. This has further intensified the debate in the village and surrounding areas.
Social media activities became the center of discussion
Bharat Tiwari was said to be very active on social media. He often conveyed his views to people through Facebook Live. Many videos were posted on his social media account against the administration and system, which are now being discussed again. It is being told that in recent times he had shared several videos with weapons. In some videos, he was also seen arguing with policemen and using sharp language. Even on the day of the incident, he did several Facebook Lives in which he was seen showing the situation at the spot and the police action.
The last Facebook Live became a topic of debate
The most discussion is taking place about Bharat Tiwari’s last Facebook Live. In the viral video he is seen surrounded by police. In the last part of the video, he is seen allegedly throwing his pistol on the ground, after which the live broadcast stops. The family members claim that he was shot even after dropping the weapon, while the police say that Bharat had fired at the police team and retaliated in self-defence.
Father and brother also became accused
In the first FIR registered by the police, Bharat Tiwari has been accused of possessing illegal weapons, firing at the police and obstructing government work. Police claim that he fired several rounds during the arrest attempt. The FIR also mentions that his father and brother allegedly had knowledge of the weapons and were protecting him. On this basis both have also been named in the case.
Action also taken on road jams and protests
There was a huge protest in the village after the death of Bharat Tiwari. When the body reached the village after post-mortem, the villagers blocked Ara-Buxar National Highway (NH-922). Traffic was affected due to the protest that lasted for several hours. Police have registered a separate FIR in this case also. Many people, including the head of Biloti Panchayat, have been named on charges of road jam, uproar and scuffle with the police, while dozens of unknown people have also been made accused.
Demand for impartial investigation raised
A candle march was also taken out in Arrah city to protest against the incident, in which a large number of people participated. The protesters demanded a fair investigation into the case and strict action against those found guilty. At present, this matter remains sensitive amid the claims of the police and family members. Now all eyes are on the direction of the investigation and the next action of the administration.
