Rahul-tejaswi bihar election manifesto: The bugle of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 is over and with this the process of promises has started. On Wednesday, the Grand Alliance, taking the first major step of its election campaign, announced the ‘Extreme Backward Justice Resolution’. On this historic occasion, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav released the first part of the electoral manifesto together in Patna. In this ‘Nyaya Sankalp’, the Grand Alliance has made many big and breathtaking promises for the most backward classes, which political experts are considering this vote bank as a well-planned strategy. The event was attended by more than 100 backward class leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and VIP supremo Mukesh Sahni, which shows the seriousness of the move.
10 big promises in ‘Extreme Backward Justice Resolution’
The Grand Alliance has made 10 important promises in its ‘Extreme Backward Justice Sankalp’ which directly affect this community. The most important of these promises is to enact the atrocities for the most backward classes on the lines of SC-ST. Apart from this, to increase the 50 percent limit of reservation in proportion to the population, the law will be passed from the Legislature and sent to the Center.
Many more big announcements have also been made about reservation. The Grand Alliance has promised that reservation for the most backward classes in panchayat and municipal bodies will be increased from 20 to 30 percent. Also, there will be a provision of 50 percent reservation for this category in government contracts and supply tenders up to Rs 25 crore. Along with enrollment in private educational institutions, under the Right to Education Act of the UPA Government, half of the reserved seats in private schools will also be given to the children of OBC SC and ST.
Grand Alliance’s ‘New Trick’ on political pitch
This step of the Grand Alliance is considered to be a new trick in Bihar’s electoral politics. ‘Extremely backward’ vote bank has been a big and decisive factor in Bihar and the grand alliance has made it clear from this manifesto that it is fully prepared to bring this class into its court.
Promises do not end here. The Grand Alliance has also announced that the provision of ‘no qualified’ (NFS) will be declared illegal in the selection process of appointment so that eligible candidates can get a chance. Residential landless will be given 3 decimals in urban areas and 5 decimal land in rural areas. A high -legged regulatory authority will be formed to oversee reservation and any change in the list of castes will be done only from the Legislature. With these promises, the Grand Alliance has given a strong message that they are committed to justice and rights of the most backward classes. It will now be seen whether this ‘Nyaya Resolution’ is able to clear the way of victory for the Grand Alliance in the election.
