Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep condolence over the tragic vehicle accident that took place near Devprayag on the Chardham Yatra route. Expressing his condolences to the devotees and passengers who died in the accident, the Chief Minister prayed to God to grant peace to the departed souls and grant strength to the bereaved family members to bear this unbearable grief.
Wishing speedy recovery to those injured in the accident, the Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to providing all possible assistance to the affected people. He has instructed the officials that there should be no shortage of treatment for the injured and they should be provided with the best medical facilities.
The Chief Minister said that as soon as information about the accident was received, the administration, police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other related agencies were immediately engaged in relief and rescue operations. Relief and rescue operations are being conducted on a war footing at the accident site.
The Chief Minister said that intensive search and rescue operations are going on to find the missing persons in the accident. The concerned officials have been instructed to speed up the relief and rescue operations and provide necessary assistance to the affected families. The Chief Minister is continuously monitoring the situation and getting moment-to-moment information from the administration.
Chief Minister Dhami said that in this difficult time, the state government stands with the affected families with full sensitivity and commitment and relief and rescue operations are being conducted on the basis of top priority.
