Chhattisgarh Agniveer Reservation: Chhattisgarh government has taken a big and important decision in the interest of youth and farmers. In the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the proposal to give 10 percent reservation to Agniveers in the state government recruitment examinations was approved. Along with this, it was also decided to constitute a special sub-committee of ministers to provide adequate quantity of chemical fertilizers and fertilizers to the farmers.
Fire warriors will get reservation in these government recruitments
According to the decision of the Cabinet, the fire fighters of Chhattisgarh returning after completing their service in the Indian Army will get the benefit of reservation in Class III direct recruitments of Civil Services of the state. Under this decision, 10 percent reservation will be given to firefighters in direct recruitment to the posts of constable in the police department, forest guard in the forest and climate change department and sentinel in the jail department.
The government believes that this decision will provide new employment opportunities to the firefighters returning after serving in the army and will also prove to be an important step towards their rehabilitation.
Cabinet took a big decision for farmers also
Keeping in mind the interests of farmers, a major decision was also taken in the cabinet meeting to ensure availability of fertilizers. The government has decided that adequate quantity of chemical fertilizers and fertilizers will be provided to the farmers on time during both Kharif and Rabi crops.
For this, a cabinet sub-committee will be formed with the aim of improving the supply, distribution and management system of fertilizers. Along with monitoring the system, this committee will also give suggestions and guidance to the government.
Many ministers will join the sub-committee
This sub-committee to be constituted by the government will be headed by the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, who has the responsibility of Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Urban Administration and Development and Sports and Youth Welfare Department. Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Minister, Cooperation Minister and Finance Minister have been included as members in the committee. This committee will give necessary suggestions to improve the availability and distribution system of manure and fertilizers in the state.
Reservation for firefighters is already implemented in many states
Before Chhattisgarh, many states of the country have also implemented the system of reservation and age relaxation in government recruitments for firefighters. In Uttar Pradesh, 20 percent reservation and three years age relaxation is being given in the recruitment of UP Police, PAC, Fireman and Mounted Police.
Similarly, in Haryana, there is a provision of age relaxation of three to five years with 10 to 20 percent reservation in the recruitment of police, forest guards, jail warders and home guards. Apart from this, the provision of 10 percent reservation for firefighters in police and other uniformed services has already been implemented in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
