Uttarakhand news: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday interacted with the state ministers, MLAs and other public representatives through virtual medium. The Chief Minister said that the benefits of new rates reach the general public and business community intensified, for this a comprehensive public awareness campaign will be conducted in the state. He called upon all the public representatives to conduct awareness programs in their respective areas from 22 to 29 September. During this time, the minister in charge will lead the campaign in their respective districts and MLAs in their assemblies.
The Chief Minister said that GST The revised rates of the state will strengthen the economy of the state and will give impetus to the state towards “Vocal for Local” and “Local to Global”. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand’s Umbrella brand “House of Himalayan” and G.I. Tag received 27 products, one district two product scheme and other local handicrafts and agricultural products will be boosted by the new tax structure. This will increase self -employment opportunities and will help in realizing the concept of self -sufficient Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister stressed all departments and bodies to make continuous efforts to make this campaign a success. He said that meetings should be organized at the level of gram sabhas and municipal bodies, in which villagers and people in urban areas should be given detailed information. At the same time, the Department of Industries was also instructed to ensure that G.I. The tag products and the “one district two products” scheme should be made more powerful and market oriented.
The Chief Minister said that awareness campaigns should not be limited to publicity only, but the participation and public participation of the common people should also be ensured. For this, street plays, folk songs and other cultural mediums will be used, so that the messages should reach people easily and effectively. He said that information will be conveyed to ordinary citizens and businessmen using various platforms of media.
The Chief Minister said that GST After the new rates are implemented, not only will the business ease of trade be promoted but both consumers and producers will get its benefits. This will bring transparency in productivity and marketing processes at the local level and small entrepreneurs will also be able to join the national and global market.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed expectation from all the public representatives to play an active role in this campaign himself and give it the form of public campaign. He said that every citizen’s contribution is important in increasing the economic power of the country and the state.
