Bhopal, June 14 (IANS). In a big boost to the micro, small and medium enterprises sector, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday released a total of over Rs 360 crore worth of incentives to 900 industrial units in a single click. He also cleared all outstanding liabilities of MSME units till March 31, 2026.
Through this digital initiative, the Chief Minister released an assistance of Rs 2.02 crore for units setting up Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs). Under a special package, Rs 1.07 crore was returned as mandi fee, and Rs 3.69 crore was given to 11 units to help in electricity tariff. He also distributed loans under ‘Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana’ and land allotment letters and incentives under ‘Startup Policy 2025’. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yadav said that there are now more than 24 lakh MSME units in Madhya Pradesh which is 1.25 lakh. Providing employment to more than crore people.
The special thing is that out of these, more than 4.41 lakh units are headed by women, which he described as a great example of women empowerment. He announced that the government will give Rs 4,500 crore in the next two and a half years to strengthen the MSME sector. Under the MSME development policy, units will be given incentives up to 40 percent (60 percent for food processing units) on investment and additional 8 percent for SC, ST and women entrepreneurs. Yadav said that after simplifying the rules, land is being given at concessional rates. In the last two and a half years, 30 new industrial areas and 14 clusters have been approved, while 1,063 plots have been allotted. In the coming time, the target is to develop 60 new industrial areas and clusters and allot more than 6,000 plots. The Chief Minister also informed that Madhya Pradesh has got the status of leader category in the national startup ranking.
There are now more than 7,400 startups in the state, of which about 50 percent are led by women, which is equivalent to more than 3,400 enterprises. Under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, loans worth more than Rs 1,630 crore have been sanctioned to more than 23,500 youth. During this, representatives of various industrial organizations felicitated the Chief Minister. CM Mohan Yadav also interacted with prominent entrepreneurs. MSME Minister Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap and Principal Secretary Raghavendra Singh were present on this occasion.
