Uttarakhand News: During his visit to Khatima, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated various development schemes giving new direction to education, youth empowerment and public facilities in the development block office complex. Inaugurating the projects completed at a cost of about Rs 89 lakh, the Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working for the bright future of the youth, quality education and building a healthy society.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the modern “Didi’s Library” built at a cost of Rs 55 lakh, the renovated and modernized gymnasium building at a cost of Rs 7.50 lakh and the modernization works of the development block auditorium at a cost of Rs 26.50 lakh. He said that all these facilities will prove to be extremely useful for the students, youth and general public of the area and will give impetus to new possibilities of education development.
Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that education is the strongest foundation of progress of any society. Didi’s library established in Khatima will become an important center of knowledge for students and youth preparing for competitive examinations. This library equipped with modern facilities will provide a calm and conducive study environment to the students, so that they can prepare better while setting their goals.
He said that many talented students from rural and marginal areas were deprived of quality study facilities due to lack of resources. The new library will prove to be a boon for such students, the books and study material available here will give the youth an opportunity to prepare better for competitive exams, higher education and various competitive exams. This library will not just be a collection of books but will become a powerful medium to realize the dreams of the youth.
The Chief Minister said that our government is continuously working towards women empowerment, in the same sequence, this library will also be operated by the women of self-help groups, which will increase their income. The Chief Minister said that it is the effort of the state government that every youth of the state can move forward according to his talent and ability. For this, along with strengthening the education infrastructure, modern study facilities are also being expanded. This library established in Khatima will play an important role in building the future of thousands of students in the coming years.
During this, the Chief Minister also described the renovation and modernization of the gymnasium building as an important initiative for the youth. He said that a healthy mind resides only in a healthy body. The gymnasium equipped with modern equipment and better facilities will be helpful in making the youth aware of fitness, sports and health.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Fit India Movement and healthy lifestyle is being promoted across the country. Uttarakhand government is also continuously expanding the facilities related to sports and fitness to inspire the youth towards a drug-free, healthy and disciplined life. The modern gymnasium will inspire the local youth to adopt regular exercise, physical fitness and positive lifestyle.
Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that the state government is working equally in the fields of education, health, sports, employment and infrastructure, so that the benefits of development can reach every section of the society. Apart from being his home area, Khatima is also the center of his special commitment towards development and continuous efforts will continue for the all-round development of the area. He said that through these facilities, the students and youth of the area will get a strong foundation to realize their dreams and move towards a self-reliant future.
