Pushkar Singh Dhami: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with all the District Magistrates from his private residence, Khatima on Monday. During this, the Chief Minister directed all the district officers to speed up the campaign to remove encroachment from government land. The Chief Minister said that government land located in Gram Sabhas should also be investigated.
The Chief Minister said that the lands purchased in violation of the land law in the state should also be investigated. He said that this campaign should be expedited and a speedy hearing should be conducted and if any violation of land law is found, the land should be vested in the state government. The Chief Minister also directed to remove illegal encroachment on enemy properties located in the state. He said that details of Waqf properties should be regularly reviewed to be entered on the portal. Also, these details should also be checked regularly.
The Chief Minister said that the arms licenses of people coming from other states should also be checked and people with criminal background should also be identified. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to check public service centers and identify ineligible people who are taking advantage of government facilities by making illegal ration cards. The Chief Minister also directed to speed up the verification drive by keeping effective surveillance on suspicious activities.
In view of the upcoming monsoon, the Chief Minister directed all the districts to complete the preparations in time. He said that all necessary arrangements should be ensured by organizing a review meeting of pre-monsoon preparations in every district. He also directed to complete the repair work of damaged roads in the interior areas in a timely manner and to maintain the smooth functioning of the drinking water supply system in view of the summer season. He said that wherever there is water problem or technical problem, it should be resolved immediately on priority basis.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that there should be no unnecessary power cut in the state under any circumstances. He said that if power cut is necessary for any reason, then its prior information should be sent to the general public at the local level in time, so that people do not have to face inconvenience.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials that regular monitoring of the Chardham Yatra should be done. He said that continuous feedback should be taken from the devotees coming on the yatra routes and the arrangements should also be improved on the basis of suggestions and complaints received. The Chief Minister also directed to maintain adequate availability of drinking water on the Chardham Yatra route and an effective action plan for traffic. The Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the Kainchi Dham bypass construction work under the Manaskhand Yatra by the next month under any circumstances.
The Chief Minister said that various schemes run through the Agriculture and Horticulture Department like Poly House, Apple Mission, Kiwi Mission should not be limited to mere paperwork, but should be worked effectively to actually deliver their benefits to the farmers. The Chief Minister said that there is a need to adopt result based work culture in the field of agriculture and horticulture, so that the goal of increasing the income of farmers and strengthening the rural economy can be achieved.
The Chief Minister directed to complete the ongoing reconstruction works in the disaster affected areas more rapidly last year. The Chief Minister also took detailed information from the officials about the progress of the ongoing reconstruction works in Joshimath. The Chief Minister directed that before the monsoon, special vigilance and monitoring should be increased in disaster-sensitive areas.
