Jharkhand News: Hazaribagh District Police of Jharkhand has arrested 77 criminals and absconders in a span of 24 hours by conducting a large-scale special raid operation against crime and absconding warrants in the district. This campaign was run simultaneously in the entire district on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police. According to the police, special teams were formed in all the sub-divisions to arrest the absconding accused and warrants in various criminal cases.
A total of 30 teams were deployed in the campaign under the leadership of all the Deputy Superintendents of Police and Police Inspectors of the district. About 150 police officers and soldiers were included in these teams. During the raid, the police simultaneously raided about 100 possible hideouts of criminals across the district.
In the operation, accused who were absconding in murder, assault, theft, extortion and other cases were arrested. The arrested people are being interrogated and further legal process is being completed in the related cases. After presenting them in the court, preparations are underway to send them to judicial custody. According to the police, the arrest of the criminals is likely to expose many criminal incidents taking place in the district.
Police officials said that this campaign will not be limited to just one day’s action. Special campaigns will be run continuously in the district for crime control and arrest of absconding criminals. Hazaribagh Police has also appealed to the common people for cooperation. Police say that if any criminal is hiding in any area or any kind of suspicious activity is received, then this information should be immediately given to the nearest police station. The identity of the people giving information will be kept confidential. This major action of the police is being considered an important step towards crime control in the district.
