Jharkhand News: Ramgarh, May 17 (IANS). Two teenagers died tragically due to drowning while bathing in the Damodar river on Sunday near Garh Dam in Ramgarh city of Jharkhand, while another teenager was saved safely due to the promptness of the local people.
After this accident, a wave of mourning has spread in the entire area. The bodies of two teenagers were recovered from the river late in the evening. The deceased have been identified as Prince Sonkar, 14 year old son of Bablu Sonkar, resident of Subhash Chowk, Main Road, Ramgarh city and Vaibhav, 14 year old son of Deepak Kumar Verma, resident of Ayodhya Nagar, Bijulia Pond.

According to the information received, three teenagers aged 14 to 15 years had come out of their homes on Sunday saying that they wanted to play football. After playing, to get relief from the scorching heat, the three teenagers reached the Damodar River at Garhbandh and got into the water to take a bath.
While bathing, he suddenly got hit by deep water and started drowning. The local people present there immediately showed activeness and wisdom and pulled out the drowning resident of Bengali Tola, Ayush Kumar Tiwari, from the water, thereby saving his life, but Prince and Vaibhav got drowned in deep water.
Chaos among family members due to death of children
According to the local people, the water is extremely deep in this part of the Damodar river in Garhbandh area due to the construction of a check dam for the water supply scheme. As soon as information about the incident was received, the local administration and a large number of villagers reached the spot, after which an intensive search operation was started to find the dead bodies in the river. Late Sunday evening, the bodies of both the children could be taken out of the river near the Garhbandh check dam. After this heart-wrenching incident, there is an uproar among the families of the deceased.
