Let us inform that President Draupadi Murmu presented the My India – National Service Scheme Awards for the year 2022-23 at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 6 October. My India – National Service Scheme (NSS) is one of the flagship programs of the Government of India. Its objective is to develop the personality and character of students through voluntary community service.
The scheme was launched in 1969 during the birth centenary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi. My Bharat-NSS Awards, instituted in 1993-94 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, celebrates the outstanding contributions of youth in the field of social service, community development and nation building.
