The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rains for the next three hours. At the same time, Monorail stopped due to technical fault in Vadala area of Mumbai due to rain. After the incident, there was chaos in the passengers. According to MMRDA Public Relations Officer, Monorail stopped after technical fault in Wadala. After which 17 passengers have been evacuated safely. The fire department team has reached the spot and relief work has been started.
According to the fire officer, a sudden technical fault occurred in Monorail going from Gadge Maharaj station to Chembur at Mukundrao Ambedkar Road Junction on Monday morning. Monorail’s technical team immediately informed the Mumbai Fire Department. After which the special train immediately reached the spot. 17 people aboard the monorail were taken out safely. Monorail is being taken to Wadala through coupling. All passengers are safe.
Waterlogging everywhere due to rain

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Colaba received the highest rainfall between Sunday morning to Monday morning. 88.2 mm rainfall was recorded here. After that, 82 mm of rainfall was recorded in Bandra and 73 mm in Baikula.
