Bihar Politics: Rahul Gandhi reached Patna for an important meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) amid preparations for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. During this time, Independent MP from Purnia, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav welcomed him warmly. This is the same Pappu Yadav, who recently did not place a place on the stage at Patna concluding the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ of the Grand Alliance, causing him to face insults. Pappu Yadav has been shocked several times from the stage of the Grand Alliance, and his supporters expressed their displeasure over it.

Rahul Gandhi joined hands with those who welcomed on the occasion and then left for Sadaqat Ashram, where the Congress Working Committee (CWC) was meeting. This meeting is being held in Bihar for the first time since 1940.
Before the meeting, Pappu Yadav said, “Today, a historic meeting of the Congress Working Committee is being held in Bihar. Even before independence, there were meetings of the Congress Working Committee to get the country freedom in Bihar. Now this meeting is being held to liberate the country from votes. After this we will definitely call for ‘Vote Thieves Quit India’.
Pappu Yadav was prevented from climbing on Rahul and Tejashwi’s car
Although the Jan Adhikar Party has merged with the Congress in 2024, Pappu Yadav has been sidelined several times from the Grand Alliance forums. Pappu Yadav was not allowed to climb the stage at the conclusion of ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on 1 September. During this time, he was listening to the speech by putting a chair on the road, while Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav were present on the stage. Earlier, during the Bihar bandh on July 9, security personnel had stopped them from climbing on Rahul and Tejashwi’s car. However, despite these incidents, Pappu Yadav never criticized Rahul Gandhi and always praised him.
