Kerala: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi today said on Saturday (September 20) that when he was attacked a very intense attack, he was rescued by the people of Wayanad. The Congress MP also further said that when many leaders get even a little power, they adopt egoistic nature. There are many big leaders in India who do not have a little humility.
The people of Wayanad saved me: Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi said, when I was attacked, it was a very big attack, then only the people of Wayanad saved me. This is what people of every family do. You treated me the same as my sister or my mother. Your behavior made me a deep connection with me. Now I do not see any other option. I consider you a member of the family, because you could also say that we would not protect the man, but you did not do so. You said- This person is getting injustice and we will protect it. This is a nature that I cannot forget in my whole life.
‘Leaders become egoistic as soon as they come to power’
He further said, you have seen many times that many leaders, when they get power, they become egoistic. There are many big leaders in India, who do not have little humility. But do you know why (former Chief Minister of Kerala) Oomon Chandy was so humble…? Because he had a deep relationship and attachment to the people of Kerala.
