Ranchi, June 11 (IANS). Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari appealed to the opposition regarding the RIMS-2 project to maintain their cooperative attitude and not create any kind of hindrance, because I am not building any BJP office, but am building a big hospital for the common people.
Talking to reporters on Thursday, he said that this will be the largest hospital in Asia, in which the people of the surrounding areas will get health facilities. Presently the situation is such that people have to go to other states to get their treatment. For this, financial assistance of Rs 25 to 30 crore is also provided by our state, but this assistance has no meaning because the patients do not get the required facilities. Many times I get such phone calls that we do not have ambulances. I also get information that people even sold their land to get treatment. In such a situation, our people have to face many types of challenges. Keeping all these conditions in mind, we have decided to build a hospital at our place.
The Health Minister of Jharkhand said that seeing these sufferings of the people, the Chief Minister decided that RIMS-2 should be constructed here at all costs, so that all types of diseases of the people can be treated in their own state. Therefore, they should not have to go to other states, because people who have to go to other states for treatment have to face many problems.
He made it clear that my intention is not to make anyone homeless or harass anyone. My aim is to provide advanced health facilities to the people, so that they do not have to depend on any other state. Therefore, I have appealed to the political parties not to do any kind of politics in this matter, because if there is politics then we will not be able to implement such projects. How will development work be done in a state where education and health are not good? Therefore, I appeal to you all to try to understand me, try to understand my feelings and what I want to do.
Apart from this, the Health Minister of Jharkhand objected to the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination. He said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi decided to give honor to the daughter of a Dalit, but the BJP conspiratorially stopped him. His nomination was cancelled. On the other hand, nomination of Parimal Nathwani was accepted. After all, why is this dual attitude being adopted?
