Tehri Bus Accident: About 8 people have been injured when a bus overturned on Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway in Tehri, Uttarakhand. Officials said that the injured have been taken to the hospital. He suffered minor injuries.

Information came to light that a bus overturned on the highway near Kaudiyala in Tehri on Sunday morning. District Disaster Management Officer Brijesh Bhatt said that it was a local bus, which was going towards Rishikesh. A total of 39 people were traveling in the bus. 8 people have suffered minor injuries, all the rest are safe.

Relief and rescue team immediately reached the spot

He said that as soon as the information about the accident was received, teams of Revenue, Police, SDRF and 108 ambulance services had reached the spot. The officer said that according to preliminary information, this accident may have happened due to brake failure.

A car accident in Rudraprayag also

Earlier, a Mahindra The five passengers in the car were taken out safely by the joint team of police, SDRF and DDRF, taking prompt action. Two women have been seriously injured in the accident, while three other people have suffered minor injuries.

Initial investigation suspects brake failure

It was told that the accident car (UP-16 DK 0856) was carrying devotees from West Bengal on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham. Suddenly the driver lost control and the car fell off the road. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot, but due to the promptness of the relief teams, all the passengers were evacuated safely.

The passengers injured in the accident have been identified as Prince Singh, Sahima Singh, Sujon Mukherjee, Riza Mukherjee and driver Pradeep Kumar. Of these, two female passengers have suffered serious injuries, while the other three passengers have suffered minor injuries. After first aid, all the injured were sent to Rudraprayag District Hospital, where their treatment is going on.

According to police officials, a major loss of life was averted due to the timely start of relief and rescue operations. The causes of the accident are being investigated. Initially the vehicle being out of control is believed to be the cause of the accident.
