Uttarakhand News: The benefits of Uttarakhand Film Policy 2024 have started reaching the youth of Uttarakhand directly. In this sequence, Uttarakhand Film Development Council has paid the scholarship of three youth passed out from Film and Television Institute, Pune (FTII).
Under the Uttarakhand Film Policy 2024, there is a provision to provide scholarship to the students who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand state taking admission in Film and Television Institute, Pune, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata or other reputed institutes on the basis of merit after completion of the course and obtaining the certificate.
Under this, according to the expenditure on the course, 75 percent scholarship is provided to ST, SC, OBC and 50 percent scholarship to general candidates. Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, Shri Banshidhar Tiwari said that in accordance with this policy, a total scholarship of Rs 65,682 has been paid to Praveen Semwal, resident of Village Post Ukhimath, Rudraprayag, for a one-year postgraduate certificate course.
Similarly, a total scholarship of Rs 1,27,619 has been paid to Kavita, resident of village Harni (Mundoli), Chamoli, for a two-year postgraduate diploma course and a total scholarship of Rs 1,38,990 has been paid to Devesh Bhatt, a resident of Tallital, Nainital, for a three-year postgraduate diploma. All three have completed their studies from the Indian Film and Television Institute, Pune.
The youth of Uttarakhand are rich in creative talent. It is the effort of the state government to provide them better opportunities to hone their talent and create recognition at the national level. Uttarakhand Film Policy 2024 is an important initiative in this direction. The government is working to give a new flight to their dreams by providing scholarships to the youth of the state who are pursuing education in the film industry.
