Badminton tournament: Uttar Pradesh’s top seeded player Mansi Singh has a brilliant performance in the Yonex Sunrise Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Memorial All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament by performing a female singles title. In the exciting and tough match, Mansi Singh defeated the winning Trophy by defeating Surya Chaishma of Andhra Pradesh 21-16, 18-21, 21-18. The tournament was organized by the Indian Badminton Association (BIA) at the UP Badminton Academy. Whose total prize money was 10 lakh rupees.

India Raghav win walkover

Bharat Raghav of Haryana has become the winner in the men’s singles final. Those who received a walkover due to injury to Mesnam Meiraba of his rival Manipur. Masnam was unable to play the match, due to which Bharat Raghav took the title without playing. In the mixed doubles category, the qualifier pair of Kerala/Karnataka’s Bijon Jayson and Diya Bhimaiya won the title by defeating Tamil Nadu’s Dilipan V and Pranvi N 17-21, 22-20, 21-14.

In the women’s mixed, Karnataka’s top seed Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhatt have easily won the title by defeating Aditi Bhatt and Shrwani Walekar (Uttarakhand/Maharashtra) 21-14 21-14. In the men’s doubles, the pair of Viplav Kuwale and Viraj Kuwale of Maharashtra made a big upside-down winner to Telangana/Tamil Nadu’s Siddharth Ilango and Santosh Gajendran 21-16 21-10. At the concluding ceremony of the tournament, Chief Guest Suhas LY, Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh, honored the winners with awards.

5 lakhs from Eklavya Sports Fund

He has announced a prize of five lakh rupees through the Eklavya Sports Fund to the players of Uttar Pradesh who have become the winner in the National Competition. To get the award for him, the eligible players will have to fill the form and submit it.
