Cricket: A big and important change has been made in the Indian team announced for the T20 series against Ireland and England. Right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been included in the Indian team for both the T20 series in place of Mohammed Siraj.
After talks between the BCCI medical team and the team management, Siraj has been advised rest as part of workload management. The decision has been taken as a precaution to ensure full recovery ahead of a long international season. In place of Siraj, now Prasidh Krishna will go with the team on Ireland and England tour.
Mohammad Siraj given rest
Mohammad Siraj was a part of ODI World Cup 2026 and T20 World Cup 2026. He was also a part of the one-off Test against Afghanistan, but has been rested for the ODI series against Afghanistan. BCCI wants to keep Siraj fully fit for the upcoming ODI and Test series and perhaps that is why it has decided to keep him out of the Ireland and England series. Siraj has taken 17 wickets in 17 T20 matches.
