
Women Cricket Team: India’s women’s cricket team has set a new example in the cricket world by winning the World Cup in 2025. This victory not only made Indian cricket proud, but also gave great awards and honors to the players of the team. Team India was given prize money of about Rs 40 crore by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after becoming the world champion. At the same time, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also gave a reward of Rs 51 crore to the players and coach staff, after this historic victory of India, various state governments have honored the players of their respective states. These awards include not only cash but also government jobs and other honours.
Andhra Pradesh honored Shri Charani
The Government of Andhra Pradesh gave a wonderful award to Team India’s star left-arm spin bowler Shri Charani. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu gave a prize money of Rs 2.5 crore to Mr Charani for becoming the world champion. Along with this, he was also given a plot of 1000 square yards. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also announced to give a government job to Mr. Charani as a Group-1 officer of the state.

Maharashtra government gave huge amount
The Maharashtra government awarded a reward of Rs 2.25 crore to three key players of the Indian women’s cricket team – vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, batsman Jemimah Rodriguez, and bowler Radha Yadav. Apart from this, Indian team coach Amol Majumdar was also honoured, for whom the Maharashtra government issued a check of Rs 22.5 lakh. This honor was given by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Madhya Pradesh honored Kranti Gaur
Indian women’s cricket team’s medium pacer Kranti Gaur was honored by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for Kranti Gaur. Apart from this, his parents were also honoured. This was an important step by the state government, which was taken to honor the contribution of cricket players.
Himachal Pradesh gave reward to Renuka Thakur
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu announced an amount of Rs 1 crore to Team India’s star bowler Renuka Thakur, who bowled brilliantly in the World Cup 2025. Besides, the state government also promised them government jobs. Sukhu spoke to Renuka on phone and congratulated her on her victory and assured her of a warm welcome in Himachal Pradesh.
