Kaun hain sachin Yadav: The day of the World Athletics Championship 2025 was a mixed day for the Indian Javalin throw. While Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra could not perform the expected performance, Sachin Yadav, who came from Baghpat Khekra town, caught everyone’s attention by performing brilliantly.
25 -year -old Sachin performed his career by throwing 86.27 meters in the first attempt at the ongoing championship in Tokyo. Four out of six throw they did above 84 meters, yet they finished fourth and could not get India medals.
Neeraj Chopra’s performance was somewhat weak this time. They respectively

• Second: 84.03 m
• Third: Foul
• Fourth: 82.86 m
• Fifth and last: fouled.

• Sixth: Throw 80.95 meters.
Travel from cricket to athletics
By 2019, Sachin Yadav used to play tennis-ball cricket in his village and was preparing for a government job. He was a fast bowler and floater batsman, but says himself, “Cricket was just a Sunday time for me. Never thought that I would make the game a career.”
Coach Sandeep Yadav changed his life
Khekra’s local coach Sandeep Yadav saw Sachin’s talent in the cricket field. Seeing his fast arm-speed, Sandeep inspired him towards Javalin Throw. In the early days, Sachin started practicing with a bamboo spear. He threw his first throw up to 57 meters, which Sandeep called a “brilliant start”.
Sandeep Yadav, who is working in Uttar Pradesh Police, trained Sachin through video calls despite his duty. He later contacted Tokyo Paralympic gold medalist Sumit Anthil coach Naval Singh. Naval gives coaching at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. It was here that Sachin’s professional journey started.
