The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is in power in the country, is celebrating its 42nd foundation day on Wednesday. On this occasion, the party is going to organize special programs across the country. There will be rallies and meetings everywhere. Flag hoisting will take place everywhere from the national office to the block level at 10 am. Along with this, a procession will also be taken out. Party leaders and workers have been instructed to be present in all programs compulsorily. PM Modi will address the workers after hoisting the flag at 10 am.
The Bharatiya Janata Party was founded on 6 April 1980 in New Delhi by Atal Bihari Bajpai and LK Advani. Earlier these leaders were in the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and later in the Janata Party. In the 1980 Lok Sabha elections, the party got success in only two seats and today it has become the largest party sitting in the central power of the country with 301 MPs.
