Mumbai, May 14 (IANS). To drive India’s travel and economic growth, Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) and IHG Hotels & Resorts have partnered to develop five hotels in major airports and high-growth urban destinations.

The agreement will add approximately 1,500 rooms across brands and locations, in line with IHG’s growth plans for India and in line with growing travel demand and the rapid expansion of India’s aviation, tourism and airports-led urban infrastructure sectors.

Pranab Adani, Director, Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), said, “With the Adani Group expanding into hospitality and airport-based urban infrastructure, our vision is to create world-class destinations that seamlessly connect travel, stay and urban experiences around India’s fast-growing aviation ecosystem. We are building this platform in partnership with leading international hotel brands that are driven by global standards, operational excellence and services at scale. provide.”

Pranab Adani further said, “Our partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts and the development of five hotels in key gateway cities is an important step towards strengthening high-quality hospitality infrastructure in line with India’s long-term travel and economic growth.”

The portfolio includes the Kimpton Hotel in Jaipur, as well as the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in the hospitality-focused mixed-use projects under Adani Airport Cities. The remaining hotels are planned to be built in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.

AAHL is in talks with IHG to further deepen this partnership.

The partnership also marks the debut of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in India. Known globally for its design-led hotels, chef-driven dining experiences and boutique luxury identity, the entry of Kimpton reflects the growing demand for premium lifestyle hospitality experiences in India.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said, “The partnership with Adani Airport Holdings, especially in development projects involving key cities and airports, reflects the immense potential that exists in India’s hospitality sector, which is seeing strong demand from business, leisure and transit travelers alike.”

Adani Airport City is focused on developing integrated, hospitality-focused airport city destinations across India. Managing eight airports serving approximately 9 crore passengers annually, Adani Airport Holdings Limited’s network is being developed as an integrated airport city, linking aviation with retail, hospitality and convention centres.

Spread over 650 acres across major cities including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur and Guwahati, the first phase of Adani Airport City Limited will include 20 million square feet of mixed-use development projects including branded hotels, experiential retail, world-class dining, convention centres, Grade A office space, entertainment zones and arena districts.
