Jammu, February 10 (IANS). India-AI Impact Summit will be organized from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Representatives from countries around the world will participate in this summit. This is the first AI summit to be held in the Global South. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this summit.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an important role in India’s development journey, strengthening governance and improving public service delivery. It supports inclusive growth on a large scale and is in line with the vision of a developed India by 2047. India’s linguistic and cultural diversity gives it a unique position to advance AI systems with multiple languages and multiple models to suit the needs of different people.
It will bring together leaders, policymakers, industry and experts from around the world to showcase and discuss the transformative potential of AI for governance, innovation and sustainable development.
Building on the outcomes of major international AI forums, the summit will focus on translating global AI discussions into concrete development outcomes with the IndiaAI Mission and Digital India Initiative. It will also strengthen multilateral cooperation and advance a people-centric AI framework.
Recognizing the importance of AI strategy, the Government of India has prioritized building a strong and inclusive AI ecosystem through initiatives such as the IndiaAI Mission, AI Compute Infrastructure, indigenous AI models and large-scale capacity building for responsible AI adoption.
India-AI Impact Summit 2026 will advance global collaboration, promote ethical AI and accelerate adoption of Artificial Intelligence in priority sectors. Because of this, the country will be established as a global hub for AI innovation with the vision of a digitally strong India.
India-AI Impact Summit Ahead of 2026, a regional AI conference is being organized to align the country’s AI priorities with the region’s needs. Eight conferences were held between October 2025 and January 2026 in partnership with state governments in Meghalaya, Gujarat, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala and Telangana.
