New Delhi, January 22 (IANS). Top executives of technology companies participating in the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not take away the jobs of humans, but will change the way of working. AI can perform many tasks automatically, but it cannot replace entire jobs.

Kian Katanforoosh, Founder and CEO of Workera, said that correct use of language is very important when it comes to AI. They are not in favor of calling AI a ‘colleague’, because AI can do certain tasks well, but cannot do the entire job like humans.

He told that humans do hundreds of tasks simultaneously, whereas AI is able to do only fixed tasks. He also said that so far the prediction that AI will eliminate people’s jobs on a large scale has been proved wrong.

Munjal Shah, co-founder and CEO of Hippocratic AI, also said that AI will not replace humans, but will help employees on a large scale. Envisioning the future, he said that the world will have ‘8 billion people and 80 billion AI systems’, which will make new tasks easier.

Giving an example, he said that an AI system called thousands of people during the heat wave and advised them to go to cooler places and gave them health related information. He said such systems require rigorous testing to be implemented properly. We have models that check other models and then those models check the same models.

Kate Callott, founder and CEO of Amini, said AI is still just a tool. It cannot decide right and wrong on its own, because it does not have the ability to think and understand values like humans.

Christoph Schweizer, CEO of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), said that the experience of working with AI sometimes feels like working with a colleague. A company’s success will depend on how much it changes the way it works, not just on adopting new technology.

He also said that AI should be seen as a big management responsibility and cannot be left to just the technical team.

Enrique Loras, President and CEO of HP Company, said that AI should be used with balance. AI in HP’s call centers sometimes gives wrong answers, but overall its accuracy has improved and customer satisfaction has also increased.
