New Delhi, June 16 (IANS). Akasa Air started commercial flight operations from Noida International Airport on Tuesday, becoming one of the first airlines to start services from this new airport.
The airline has started direct flight service from Noida to Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru. This is considered an important step in its network expansion strategy and will further strengthen its presence in the National Capital Region.
The first flight departed from Navi Mumbai International Airport at 7:25 am and reached Noida International Airport at 9:35 am. The return flight left Noida at 10:15 am and reached Navi Mumbai at 12:30 pm.
Along with this, the airline has also started direct flights to Bengaluru. The airline said its early entry at Noida International Airport is in line with its strategy to build a stronger presence in key growth markets.
This launch is considered an important milestone in the expansion plans of Akasa Air. The company aims to take advantage of the development of new airports and growing air travel demand in North India.
