New Delhi, 11 September (IANS). According to industry estimates, Tech company Apple’s iPhone shipment in India can increase by 25 percent to a record 1.4-1.5 million units.

This bounce in shipment is being seen due to huge discounts on old models and strategic prices of the newly launched iPhone 17 series.

Research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) India hopes that the shipment will reach 1.5 crore units in 2025, which was 1.2 crore units in 2024.

Canalis estimates 1.42 crore units and counterpoint research to increase by 18–19 percent, aiming to achieve 8 percent market share in the Indian smartphone market.

Industry experts say India will play an important role in sales in the next two years in Apple’s rapidly growing global market, which will also play festive demand.

The newly launched iPhone 17 is priced at Rs 82,900, which is slightly more than the iPhone 16.

Research firm Canalis has estimated that the company’s domestic wholesale revenue will increase to Rs 1,08,412 crore in 2025, which was Rs 98,717 crore last year. This will help with the sale of the pro model upgrade and new iPhone air model.

The company said that the increasing attachment rates of ecosystem products will also promote revenue growth.

Analysts reported that the iPhone 16 model was India’s best -selling model in the first half of 2025, which recorded a growth of 96.50 percent in the premium smartphone segment.

The EMI scheme is expected to expand its consumer base in India and strengthen its presence with the expansion of the EMI Scheme major retail stores.

Apple has recently expanded its retail store in India. Apple has now had a total of four retail stores in the country. Apart from Saket and BKC, two new stores have been opened in Bengaluru and Pune.

India is becoming the center of Apple’s manufacturing plant, where one of every five phones is now being produced in the country.
