New Delhi, 20 September (IANS). American tech giant Apple can achieve the highest sales of festivals in India so far. Analysts estimate that sales will increase by 28 percent on an annual basis in 2025 due to the initial success of the iPhone 17 series.

Counterpoint Research has estimated a record increase in sales due to the festive N-One strategy in the festive season.

Analysts said the first week sales of the iPhone 17 series are 19 percent more than the iPhone 16 series.

Tarun Pathak, research director of Counterpoint Research, said, “Apple is taking effective advantage of the premium trend in India.”

He said that the demand for Pro and Pro Max models remain the highest and there are reports of stock being finished on various channels. Also, the cosmic orange variants are being well liked by users.

Pathak further said that despite the higher price, the new iPhone 17 Air is performing better than last year’s Plus model.

In addition, the initial demand is more than the supply and obtaining stock, especially for the 17 Pro model, is a challenge for retailers.

CMR Industry Research Group VP Prabhu Ram said that Apple is on the way to cross the 4.5 million shipment figure in this festive quarter and the new iPhone is expected to create more demand.

He also said that the pre-booking of the iPhone 17 is more than the previous year’s figures, which will help Apple to maintain a continuous lead till Diwali.

Apple launched the iPhone 17 series on 9 September, with a new center stage front camera, 48 MP fusion main camera with 2x optical telephoto and a 48 MP fusion ultra-wide camera.

The company claims that the 6.3 -inch Super Retina XDR display in the new iPhone is large and shiny.

With the new Ceramic Shield 2, the front cover is said to be stronger than before, with 3 times better scratch resistance than the previous generation. For better performance and long battery life, the phone comes with the latest-generation A1 chip.
