Black Box successfully completes the acquisition of Brazil's 2S Innovas Tecnológicos SA

Mumbai, May 13 (IANS). Black Box Ltd. announced on Tuesday that it has successfully completed the acquisition of 2S Innovas Tecnológicos SA, a leading Brazilian digital infrastructure company.

Black Box, the technology arm of Essar Group and a global provider of digital infrastructure solutions, said the acquisition is a major step in its global expansion strategy. Additionally, it will pursue the long-term goal of achieving $2 billion annual revenue by 2030. The effective date of this acquisition is considered to be May 1, 2026.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2S Innovas Tecnologicas provides end-to-end digital infrastructure services. The company works in areas such as consulting and strategy, enterprise and data center networking, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, cybersecurity operations, systems integration, managed services, and lifecycle optimization.

The company has a strong hold in providing mission-critical networking, hyperscale data center infrastructure, collaboration and security solutions.

This acquisition will significantly strengthen Black Box’s capabilities and market presence in Latin America, particularly in fast-growing areas such as data center networking, digital connectivity, cybersecurity and managed infrastructure services.

The company said the deal also reinforces Brazil’s strategic importance to Black Box’s global business, as enterprise companies, cloud providers and hyperscale companies in the region are increasingly investing in next-generation digital infrastructure.

According to the report, Brazil’s rapidly growing digital economy, rapid adoption of cloud technology, AI-based infrastructure investments and strong engineering talent are making it an important regional hub for digital infrastructure and technology services.

“The acquisition of 2S is an important milestone in Black Box’s global growth journey and will further strengthen our strategic position in the rapidly growing market of Latin America,” said Sanjeev Verma, Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer, Black Box.

He said 2S has deep expertise in Cisco networking, enterprise and data center infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and managed services, which will further enhance Black Box’s global capabilities.

Verma said that companies around the world are rapidly investing in AI, cloud, cyber security and digital connectivity. In such a situation, the demand for secure, strong and scalable network and data center infrastructure is continuously increasing.

He said the acquisition will enable the company to better serve customers at every stage of digital infrastructure transformation, including network modernization, data center integration, managed operations and cybersecurity.

According to the company, the deal also reflects its focus on disciplined inorganic growth as part of its long-term strategy.

Sanjeev Verma further said that from this acquisition the company is expected to get additional revenue of about Rs 500 crore annually. Additionally, the networking and data center business in Latin America will be strengthened and the ability to deliver end-to-end digital infrastructure solutions globally will be enhanced.
